Reinsurance is a critical investment for any insurance company – to protect capital, ensure the most effective balance of risk retention and risk transfer and to maintain regulatory compliance. For many insurance companies, the cost of reinsurance represents their second or third highest business cost. It is therefore essential that the reinsurance purchased is sufficient, has the right structure and helps to support the company’s business objectives.
Given the importance of reinsurance, it is crucial that the employees of any insurance company understand the role of reinsurance and what it means for their part of the business. It is also important to empower the right people within the company to be able to make valuable and informed decisions which contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company’s reinsurance protections.
inuRE works with all levels of insurance company employees – from the new joiner to C-suite – to ensure that they have the right level of reinsurance knowledge to enable them to make the right decisions, to ask the right questions and to stay current with the ever-changing reinsurance market and regulatory environments. inuRE’s support covers a range of key functions, such as reinsurance structuring, claims management, contractual wordings, managing reinsurance placements, information management and compliance. Through training and advisory support, we can ensure that the right people have the right knowledge to be a valuable part of the company’s reinsurance decision making process.
inuRE also works with reinsurance companies to support the critical functions that they provide to the insurance community, covering areas such as reinsurance structuring, risk selection and information analysis. Additionally, inuRE works with reinsurance company cedants to help them to better understand the role of reinsurance in protecting their business.
Our ultimate aim is to ensure that the right knowledge is in place to support the best possible reinsurance protections – so that the reinsurance investment is based on the best possible knowledge.
